Silvia Mancilla is a biochemist specialized in Laboratory Tests and labpratory diagnosis in health. She is a Senior Research Assistant and serves as Head of Molecular Biology Laboratory in Cell Biology Unit, Functional Sciences Department at School of Medicine, Mayor de San Andres University. After obtaining the degree in biochemistry, BSc. Mancilla has extensively worked on immunodiagnosis, molecular biology and cell culture, as well as, on the technology application concerned on it. She was part of a research team concerned on the study of Identification and genotyping of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) where she implemented and assessed the molecular procedures for HPV diagnosis through polymerase chain reaction (PCR) technique. Currently, she conducts biomolecular studies concerning the detection of genetic alterations regarding oncohematological diseases.
